Thanks for your question, Mayer.

You need to consult your own community's rabbi before trying anything so radical. I have heard anecdotes suggesting that a small minority from certain places have permitted it under a certain set of unusual conditions, using a procedure in which a boy who is *almost* a Bar Mitzvah holds the scroll throughout the minyan. But others (the vast majority) can find no legal explanation/justification for it.
